Synopsis
Haunted by a rare and inescapable gift, a bartender accepts a high-paying job at a private event, expecting a quiet night of work. Instead, he finds himself drawn into the guarded atmosphere of a family gathered under one roof. As the evening unfolds, his ability reveals a presence tied to a death the family has carefully concealed.
Shifting between observer and unwilling participant, the bartender navigates silence and control as the supernatural presses closer.

A Burden to Bare explores the lasting scars of narcissistic family dynamics across generations, following a man haunted by a gift as he confronts denial and control to reclaim his sense of self.
Director Bio
Jorge Orellana is a Vancouver-based filmmaker and seasoned Assistant Director with over fifteen years of experience in film and television. Originally from Mexico, he holds a B.A. in Economics and Professional Writing and is now emerging as a director of characterdriven stories.
